Camporee patches - each
year the Council held a weekend Camporee somewhere on Long Island. Troops
would compete in a variety of contests, with the events open to the
public. Many of the camporees were at Camp Wauwepex, but others were held
at places such as Eisenhower Park in East Meadow or the abandoned Mitchell
Field Air Force Base, now Nassau Community College. Patches were issued
for each of these events.
Beginning in 1984, the camporees were held by the
different districts throughout the Council, which issued their own patches
in place of Council-wide editions.

Potlatch was a themed camporee held in 1969. Evidently people didn't follow the theme and the idea
was dropped. |

The 1970 Camporee was called a Skill-O-Ree for some reason. |

For some reason the words "Lynbrook
U.S.A." were embroidered across the design of the 1972 Camporee
patch.
