Dining
Halls at Camp Wauwepex and Onteora Scout Reservation serve over
6000 meals each day. Meals are prepared by professional chefs in
modern well equipped kitchens. All meals are served family style
with a scout at each table serving as host. Both camps are under the
direction of Nassau County Council, Boy Scouts of America.

is a familiar call at swim time to insure a safe swim. Our three
modern waterfronts at Camp Wauwepex draw over 1000 Scouts each day to

The Hayden Dining Hall at
Camp Wauwepex, Wading River, Long Island is one of the three modern well equipped
dining halls in the camp serving the finest of food, prepared by professional chefs. (This photo is from 1960.
The staff member in the lower right with the
yellow neckerchief and glasses is Father Dave Reddy. He was the camp
Catholic Chaplain for many years. He died in 1986 on Easter Island.) |
