From my journal of 1967:
The End - drove into NY - in NJ saw another bus from Jim's company. Arrived in Shelter Rock singing "100 Miles".
THE END
Well, that's it. After 30 days away from home, and approximately 6,000 miles on the road, we were back on Long Island. It had been a great trip, one that I remain glad to have made. All of us got along well on the trip, but once we got off the bus, we went our separate ways. It would be interesting to have a reunion and compare notes as to what we've done over the years, but so far, I have been unable to track down any of the other expedition members except my brother. I just got an address for Harold Snedeker, though, and perhaps he knows where some of the rest of us are hiding.
I hope that you've enjoyed this trip back through time!
