Cavalcade - the Cavalcades were an exhibition of Scouting skills - and a big source of income for the Council. They were held on a bi-annual basis back when I was involved. They were massive events - more than 250 troops participated in the 1965 Cavalcade, for example. The usual site was the now-defunct Roosevelt Raceway. This canvas patch was given out by Troop 76 at the 1965 Cavalcade. It also exists with reddish printing. Miscellaneous shows - Short-lived shows of different types. I believe this may have been a predecessor to the Cavalcades. Undated - 1970s Undated WANTED 1975 Also from 1975. A successor to the Cavalcades. Mall Show 1979 WANTED Scout Expo 2005 Pow Wows - these meetings of the Adult Volunteers from the Unit and District levels are for the purpose of developing the Annual Program. An undated patch for a Council Pow Wow. Same design but dated 1977 1992 WANTED 1998 Round Ups - Round ups were annual council-organized events to recruit members. Each Scout who brought a friend to a meeting received a patch. Undated Undated 1969 1980 1981 1982 Scout Shows - I believe that these Scout Shows replaced the earlier Cavalcades. 1976 1978 1981 WANTED 1983 The 1985 Scout Show celebrated the 75th anniversary of Scouting. 1987 Scoutwalk - another Council fund raiser, which began in 1994. Scouts sign up sponsors and then walk to earn money. Held each April. 1994 1995 Issued in both 4.5 and 7 inch wide versions 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2006 2007 2008 WANTED 2008 - Staff WANTED 2009   Southworth Indian Lore - a series of Indian lore competitions which began in 1967. This patch was given to participants each year. WANTED Undated (1969) 1970 Participant's patch for 5th Anniversary in 1971. WANTED 1971 - 5th Anniversary 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976   More to come!
