One of the many country areas
Each of the countries had their own area where they camped, and in most cases, set up displays about their own version of Scouting. Some of these areas were elaborate tent cities, and others, a few tents marked by a small sign. No matter how big or small the group, though, everyone seemed to be having fun.
I don't remember the exact country but seem to remember these two Scouts were from Scandinavia. Their uniforms almost look naval to me.
This Scout was from one of the smallest contingents. I'm sure the tree-covered mountains of Idaho were quite a change for him.
The Scout on the left has a plastic bag full of patches. In many cases we couldn't talk to our trading partners, but the deals got made through pointing, head gestures and finally a handshake.
